ATV Tour in Jaco Costa Rica

Off-Road Tours

Personalized adventures are created to your skill level to ensure the best experience possible while keeping everyone safe. The Central Pacific of Costa Rica has plenty of areas to explore. Jaco, as our base, we have easy access to many trails ranging from single-track for dirt bikes, wide-open dirt roads, coastal highways, and beach roads.

While we discover the area, we will come across multiple terrains, highlighting the strength of these vehicles. During any given day, we will travel on asphalt coastal highways, gravel roads, riverbeds, beach roads, muddy back-trails, and single-track for the technical riders. Throughout the adventure, we will have time to witness incredible views of the surrounding mountains and Pacific coastline, waterfalls with natural pools, and Costa Rican culture at its purest.

Frequently Asked Questions

A few frequently asked questions about our tour. If you don’t see your question please don’t hesitate and contact us, we’d happily answer any question you may have!

Best to bring clothes you don’t mind getting wet or dirty. Suppose you want to swim at the rivers/waterfalls; best wear your swim gear. Dust bandana (especially in the summer months). Sunscreen and bug repellent. Don’t forget to bring your credit card for the security deposit and drivers license, both will be required to rent the vehicles. Some cash for lunch or any snack/drink throughout the day.

The summer months in Jaco are from December to June with little to no rain; lots of dust (especially with larger groups), dried-up rivers, and less water at the waterfalls. July to November expect rain, on and off, or the entire day, it all depends on our luck… Welcome to the rainforest we say. We can expect lots of mud, full rivers and waterfalls, and little to no dust.

The tour is a full-day tour starting at 9:00 am, with a length of 5 to 7 hours. This depends on the skill level of the group and the places we stop. Each tour is designed to your group’s skill level so no two tours will be the same. Trust us, after the tour you will be ready to get back to the pool and relax!

Honestly, we do not recommend this unless you have off-road experience on two wheels. The terrain varies throughout the day from asphalt, dirt roads, mud trails, and river beds, and with a bit of rain, the landscape becomes unforgiving in some areas. Best to enjoy your vacation and stick with the four wheels, which aren’t called ATV “All Terrain Vehicles” for nothing. They are just as fun and will get you to the end of the tour just fine!
Yes, they do, simple as that. We are not here to scare you, but this is an extreme sport; we take all safety precautions into thought throughout the tour; we will provide instructions on how to operate the vehicle and constantly ensure you can operate the vehicle. Plus, we will change the tour route depending on skill level to keep the experience safe. You ARE responsible for any damages you cause to the vehicle during the rental and will have to deal with the third-party rental company for payment of damages.

Once you’ve filled out the reservation form, we will confirm your chosen date; if the date is available, we will send you an invoice link where you can pay with any major credit card.

Currently, the third-party company we deal with for our rentals offers Honda CRF250F (dirt bike), Suzuki Kingquad 400 (ATV), and Honda Pioneer 1000 (Side by Side). This might change depending on availbilyt but we will let you know beforehand if so.
